It’s the X Factor Philippines result for
week 6 tonight. But for those who missed last night’s performances, an overview
can be read in this post – The X Factor Philippines Week 6 Performance Night for Top 7.
As usual, the results show tonight kicks off
with a guest performance. Since the episode’s theme last night was about the ‘80’s,
naturally, star singers of that decade performed. We saw Randy Santiago, Gino
Padilla, and Dingdong Avanzado. The voting was closed right before the break.
After the break, all 5 acts that are safe
for next week were announced in this order:
Daddy’s Home
Gabriel Maturan
KZ Tandingan
Jeric Medina
Kedebon Colim
The names as usual are not in particular
order in terms of votes. Why? It’s because viewers will already see a pattern
from week 1. Unless, it turns similar to way American Idol Season Season 11
grand finalist Jessica Sanchez who was nearly eliminated and came back
stronger.
Then the show went on a break again. It’s a
great birthday gift for Kedebon who celebrated his birthday last September 6.
Names who were not called were Joan and
Allen. During the break, I was thinking that it’s Joan’s time to go as it’s
already her 3rd time on the bottom 2. Its Allen’s first time on the
other hand.
For their performances, these are what
these two singers chose:
Joan Da – “All About Him” by Auburn
Allen Jane Sta. Maria – “I am Me” by Willow
Smith
After the break, the judges sent home their
selected finalist. I was hoping a deadlock happens again like some of the
previous weeks, but there was not. Naturally, Charice Pempengco sent home Joan
and rooted for her own act. For a moment, I thought Ms. Pilita Corales would
send home her own act again like she did with Modesto on week 4 results night when she seconded Charice’s statement, but she didn’t.
She at least was loyal to her own singer this time. Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera
sent home Joan so Joan was eliminated from the competition tonight.
Both latter two judges left remarks worth
noting about. Gary said that in tonight’s survival performance, one act
performed while the other expressed. Martin on the other hand chose the singer
who sang for her own life and not the singer who merely sang a song. Joan
probably chose a song with a rap portion because Allen showed us that she can
rap. I guess it wasn’t the right song for her tonight.
So for tonight’s X Factor Philippines result
week 6, good luck and good bye Joan Da!
