This won’t be as fearless as everyone
who is standing up against the new Republic Act 10175, but I do have thoughts
on who may go home victorious this coming weekend for the X Factor Philippines
Grand Finals. I hope to watch it live too.
Recap Prior to the Selection of the X Factor Philippines Grand Finals
For a recap of last week’s
performance and elimination night which had revealed the X Factor Philippines
grand finals contestants, you may read these posts:
So who are the first ever X Factor Philippines grand finals contenders?
Daddy’s Home
Gabriel Maturan
KZ Tandingan
Let’s analyze each contestants
chance to win in this competition.
Daddy’s Home
Starting with Daddy’s Home, they’re
no doubt that they’re one of the best performers during the entire season. The
problem is; they have been in the bottom 2 numerous times already. That alone
is enough to prove that they don’t have a solid following from fans and voters.
But we are yet to find out how they fair this weekend. Their performance will
make or break their chance to win the show.
Gabriel Maturan
Among the three grand finalists,
only Gab was never sent to the bottom 2. This gives us a hint that he has
numerous supporters who have never wavered to vote for him since day 1. In
terms of performance, there were lapses in his vocals particularly during week 3 with Breakeven from The Script. But after that messed up rendition, he was
able to get back on track and delivered nothing but good music week after week
after week since then. In fact, he has already created his own signature style
through that falsetto vocal acrobatics now. Ms. Pilita was first to call him
the “dark horse of the competition.”
KZ Tandingan
KZ still remains the crowd’s
favorite since her soulful audition piece during the show’s stop in Digos City.
But with her being sent to the bottom 2 last week, I’m starting to doubt her
popularity now. She may not turn out to be as victorious as everyone thought
she would be. But even Jessica Sanchez was almost eliminated during Americal
Idol 2012. She was saved by the judges and she made it all the way through the
finale afterwards. Unfortunately, her belting prowess isn’t enough to make her
win the competition over Philip Philips. But like Jessica, KZ is sure to make
it big in the music industry whether she wins X Factor Philippines or not.
So who wins the X
Factor Philippines grand finale?
Although we are yet to see the performance
of the final three this weekend, I’d make a fearless forecast based on pointers
mentioned above that it’s going to be Gabriel Maturan who wins the show. If I’m
wrong, I’d go back to this post for an analysis on whoever actually wins the X
Factor Philippines grand finals.
