Kare-kare served on a palayok

 

I had the opportunity to visit the restaurant for a couple of times already. Each time, it’s almost always the same meal with only a difference in drinks whether we eat for lunch or dinner and whomever I am with at that time. It’s Kare-kare (served on a palayok) and sometimes Bulalo with coffee on the sides, light beer, or a fruit shake. Foods and drinks served are depictive of a typical Filipino cuisine. As for the cost, it’s quite similar to menu prices of other restaurants within the area (Urdaneta City included such as in Matutina’s Restaurant).

What’s more, the ambiance is refreshing. You can stay inside under the protection of an AC or you can be seated at the corridor for a bit of fresh air. The restaurant can also accommodate meetings and special events at the second floor extension or on the main dining area with chairs and tables rearranged. If you dine in for dinner, you will also be serenaded by an acoustic band singing love songs of the past and present. Lastly, staff and crew are very accommodating, hospitable, and friendly from the moment you step inside their doors up to the time you step out.

Bistro Garitoni is located in McArthur Hi-way, right beside SM City Rosales, Pangasinan. It’s on the right side if you’re coming from Manila. Speaking of Manila, this is also a perfect stop for your breakfast or lunch on the way to Baguio city for the Panagbenga festival this month.
