Donations are still being accepted to extend assistance
for typhoon Maring and southwest monsoon rain victims. There are many
institutions, agencies, and companies you can send your donations to or for
whom you can offer voluntary service with. Some of which are listed below.
Philippine Red
Cross
They’re always one of the first to help whenever disasters
like this occur. Former Sen. Dick Gordon deserves applause for being readily
available in service of our fellowmen even if he didn’t win during the last
senatorial race. He proves that you don’t have to hold a public government
office to serve the people.

GMA Kapuso Foundation
GMA 7’s Kapuso Foundation lends a hand all year round,
not only for weather related catastrophe.

ABS-CBN Foundation
ABS-CBN is also ready to help throughout the year
including weather disasters through Sagip Kapamilya.

Alagang Kapatid
Foundation
This is from TV5. They are accepting donations in cash
and kind. See image below.
DSWD
I’d like to single out the Department of Social Welfare and
Development due to their call for volunteers who can assist in repacking of
goods as well as distribution of it to victims of typhoon Maring and SW monsoon
rain.
In relation to DSWD’s call, why not ask any government
office or agency that you know of if they are also in need of volunteers? The
same applies to other television channels, radio stations, printed
publications, NGOs, and businesses. You can even organize your own party along
with friends, family, co-workers, classmates, or fellow club members.
If you
can’t donate, you can always volunteer to help.
