This is in reference
to the article that I first wrote, Lipstick101: Knowing Your Undertones for A Perfect Shade. I came out with a product
review of my favorite lip liner; Etude
House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner which
I have been using for a year now.
Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner in Soft Rose |
Etude House (for those of you who are not familiar with
the brand yet) is a renowned home of affordable cosmetic and beauty
products that originated from South Korea. It is becoming very popular to its
neighboring countries in Asia and is expanding to go worldwide. Etude House as
a matter of fact has invaded the Philippines as several stores had been
opened in Antipolo, Baguio, Laguna, Cavite, and others aside from those that are
located in Metro Manila. The best-selling brand reaches out more to the youth
market (and those who are young-at-heart like me) because of its trendy and
fun makeup products.
The brand is owned by
Amore Company for which Etude was derived from Frederic Chopin’s studies of the
piano, as quoted from Wikipedia. It offers a huge selection of products from base
make-ups, lipsticks, BB creams, cleansing and body care, hair care, massage and
peeling, packs and mask and grooming kits for the nails.
One
of the renowned products of this beauty brand is The Soft Touch Auto Lipliner (which
I like the most). It comes in two hues, one is milky brown and the second is soft rose. I have been to different Etude House stores and they just offer these two hues although I am seeing some other hues in Google.
I
am using the soft rose hue. What I
really like about it is that the tip part of the tube can be twisted so there’s
no need to sharpen. The amount of the pigment and the wax were done perfectly, leaving it soft and easy to apply yet it doesn’t smudge unlike other liners
that I used before. The shades are pretty neutral, which is perfect to use it
as a base for any shades of lipstick. Sometimes, if I go out I even use on its
own. Etude House’s Soft Touch Auto Lipliner stays long and it doesn’t dry my
lips.
For a budget-conscious gal like me, the
price of the lip liner is only P99 that goes in a plastic tube so it definitely is affordable
and mine usually lasts for 2-3 months with the mere fact that I use it Mondays to
Fridays (but of course it depends on the amount that you will use).
If there is something that certainly goes beyond its price in terms of
beauty products, I guarantee you that Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner is one
of those. This liner is definitely a must-have!
