first time sa buhay ni Nora Aunor.
Balikan natin ang mga hindi malilimutang first time sa mga pelikula ni
Ate Guy.
This was part of her four year contract with Sampaguita pictures. She was paid P200 for singing in different sequences in the movie.
It was unfortunate that Nora was only a featured singer in many Sampaguita movies that she starred as part of her contract. It took the great discoverer Artemio Marquez to recognize the potential of Nora Aunor. So, he gambled and gave her first starring role. The movie was a significant part of Philippine movie history and industry as it launched Nora as the greatest superstar, celebrity, and actress in the entire Philippine movie industry and one of the greatest Filipinos in the entire Philippine history as well.
The first full length movie kung saan nagkasama sina Nora Aunor at Vilma Santos. They went to star in movies like Ikaw Ay Akin, Pinagbuklod ng Pag-Ibig, Dugo at Pag-Ibig sa Kapirasong Lupa, De Colores, Mga Mata Ni Anghelita, Huwag Hamakin Hostess (Vilma in a guest role,) T-Bird At Ako.

D’ Musical Teenage Idols (1969)

Guy and Pip (1971)
This movie just proved how huge the mania for Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz love team is. According to movie historians, this movie was shown in cinemas for an unprecedented six months. The movie earned more than P500 million at the box office when converted to 2009 inflation and currency rate.
Lollipops and Roses (1971)
And God Smiled At Me (1972)
Carmela (1973)
Fe Esperanza Caridad (1974)
The first omnibus movie that Nora Aunor made
This movie is a significant first time for Ate Guy dahil sa pelikulang ito, na-iderek siya ng tatlo sa pinaka-pamosong director ng pelikulang Pilipino; Avellana, De Leon, at Santiago.
Banawe (1975)
Ang maituturing na first and only bold movie ni Nora Aunor.
Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos (1976)
Minsa’y Isang Gamu-Gamo (1976)
Atsay (1978)
This movie went down in the history of Philippine movies as the only movie of Ate Guy where she won her first best performer award. During the 1978 Metro Manila Film Festival, the board of judges decided to give one acting award at that time. It was a heated battle between her and Vilma but she proved her detractors wrong predicting that this was her last card.
Ina Ka Ng Anak Mo (1979)
The first movie with Lino Brocka
They went on to work on two more movies before the great director died. It was also her first Best Actress award in Metro Manila Film festival (a Best Performer award is different from a Best Actress Award). Sige na, pagbigyan niyo na ako dahil this article is all about significant first times ni Nora Aunor.
Bona (1980)
The good thing about being an independent producer at this point in time was that Nora was able to make movies that she really wanted, not what her producers want to exploit.
I love You Mama I Love You Papa (1986)
Her first movie after EDSA Revolution and also the first film starring with her family. Halimaw sa Banga was not the first and considered a movie that starred all her family members as she worked in the background as the movie producer of this movie.
'Merika (1984)
The second movie niya na ginawa sa America and this gave her first PMPC Star Awards for Movies and the first Best Actress sa award giving body na ito.
The Flor Contemplacion Story (1995)
It is the first film that won Best Picture in a top tier film festival. This is also the movie that gave Ate Guy her first international film festival Best Actress trophy. She went on to win 8 more awards in different film festivals around the world.
Thy Womb (2012)
Her first movie after 8 years of hiatus in the US. This movie is significant as she clinched the honor of the first Filipino actress to win four international best actress awards; Bisato D’ Oro, APSA, Asia Film Awards, and Sakhalin. Nora won Best Actress Award too in other indie movie “Dementia” in St. Tropez Film Festival. She also won prior to this in Brussels, Penang, and Cairo. These awards made Nora Aunor as the most internationally awarded actress of Philippine movies.
Kinabukasan (2014)
Her first short movie in her entire career. The movie was directed with Adolf Alix Jr. and she co-starred with Alden Richards and Rosanna Roces.
Padre de Pamilya (2015)
This is her first full length movie that was not shown in local commercial theaters. Sadly, this movie was only shown in Dubai and pagkatapos, biglang nagkaroon ng exclusive premier sa Cinema One, isang cable channel na may kaugnayan sa ABS –CBN kung saan may exclusive contract ang “Ang Probinsiyanong” aktor.
