Azure Urban Resort Staycation

If you're looking for a water splash or a staycation time without having to drive away from the metro, there's the Azure Urban Resort in Parañaque City. 

Azure Urban Resort Residences

The beach club resort is located within Azure Urban Resorts and Residences. All facilities are available for residents of the condominium free of charge but guests who are staying can also enjoy some of the facilities. However, only a limited number of guests can swim for free. Fees apply for additional people joining. 

Azure Residences Condominium for Rent

The easiest way to find an available room, or in this case, a condo unit for rent, is to ask the concierge for information. 

Another option is to find owners who are offering their units or rooms through platforms like Airbnb, Agoda, Trivago, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, and the like. Google also features a nice aggregated list pulled from various sites when you head over to the search shortcut Google.com/travel/hotels.

By searching through those platforms, you'll be able to compare available prices and promos as well as read reviews from those who have previously booked the rooms.

Apart from booking platforms, you can also try finding posts with reviews from travel bloggers online by searching through your favorite search engine.

Social media sites can be very useful as well when searching for a room to book. Like search engines, use the search field in social networks to find relevant content for user-generated reviews. 

Ours was found via referral. Someone we know has already booked the place before and recommended it. You may want to try asking people you know personally or even those in online communities for recommendations.

Azure Beach Resort Rates

Hotel aggregate sites such as those listed above feature condotel rates starting from 2,000 pesos up, depending on the size of the room and which tower it is located in. Units close to the resort tend to be rented out at a higher price, along with those with a view of the city from the windows and balconies. 

The room we found is overlooking the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and West Service Road. 

Azure Urban Resort Amenities 

Staying in a resident or unit owner's unit entitles your usage of the facilities including the resort and some of its amenities:

• The Azure Beach, Wave Pool, and Ibiza-inspired bar 
• Azure Kiddie Beach and Playground
• Paris Beach Club and shops including a spa, cafe, indoor restaurants, al fresco dining, and convenience store with more to open soon

From the right side of the wave pool is a building full of shops and restaurants that are open for guests. 

However, some sections are off limits and are exclusive for long-term stay residents only. These include the Infinity Pool (it's beside the Wave Pool), lap and lagoon pools, gym, movie room, indoor children's playground, volleyball beach court, and basketball court. Another limitation is that only a limited number of guests are allowed (about 2-4), depending on the size of the unit booked; additional guests will pay fees for using the resort, much like booking a day tour of a resort elsewhere. 

Wristbands are provided before availing of the beach resort amenities. You may inquire about it as soon as you register at the designated booth on Azure Urban Resort Residences' second gate or ask your host for assistance.

Azure Urban Beach Resorts Activities

While that seems like a bummer, the entire white sand beach resort area which guests are allowed to use is more than enough to enjoy in my opinion. You can stay around the beach club the whole day if you please, swim to your heart's delight, bask under the sun through one of the sunbathing chairs, walk around the faux white sand, and even take your kids to the mini-playground. Before and after swimming, there are clean showers and changing rooms you can use too. 

For safety purposes, a lifeguard is always on standby.

Here's a bonus: there's a rooftop deck with a view of the entire property and the surrounding area. You can access this through the elevators or stairs. 

Well, the section facing the service road and the warehouses around Bicutan (Parañaque) and Taguig aren't exactly aesthetic but overlooking the resort in the middle is a stunning view. I mean, take a look at these images:

There are also benches and tables for lounging on the rooftop area if you'd like to chill for a bit before heading back down. 

Operating Hours 

The beach resort operates between 7 AM to 12 noon and from 2 PM to 7 PM daily, except Mondays, due to regular maintenance. 

The Ibiza bar is open from 12 PM to 12 AM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 7 to 11 AM and 2 PM to 12 AM from Thursday to Sunday. 

The wave pool is not always on. They turn it on for about 15 minutes per hour. You can verify schedules at the information desk to check if there are any changes. 

How to go to Azure Urban Resort and Residences

Booking via Grab or maybe even a taxi is the easiest way to get there. But be aware of the directions your driver is heading to. You can double-check using Waze, Google Maps, or any other directional app guide. 

If you're driving, let's use the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Southbound exit as a starting point. If you're coming from the south or areas nearby, Azure Residences is about 10 minutes away from here via the West Service Road. 

If you follow the Google Maps guide option, you'll find step-by-step directions. Switch from the car icon to the other directional guides for other options such as travel via bus, motorcycle, and even walking. 

Regardless of where you are coming from or means of transportation, one quick note is to simply reach SM City Bicutan if you're kinda lost. Building B has a side road that is quite close to Azure Residences. From the farthest side of the building, via Doña Soledad Ave., you can already see a glimpse of the Azure's buildings.
