SM City Urdaneta Central teamed up with the Commission on
Higher Education (CHED) to host the "Getting Ready for Environmental
Efficiency in the North" (GREEN) forum, aimed at fostering environmental
awareness among higher education institutions in Pangasinan and La Union on
October 10. Held at The Event Center, the event brought together 683 student
youth leaders, educators, and industry experts to tackle pressing environmental
issues.
The forum featured a range of activities, including lectures
on green engineering, environmental advocacy, and sustainable business
practices. Participants also had the opportunity to showcase their own
sustainability projects and artwork.
SM Supermalls’ commitment to environmental sustainability,
took center stage by highlighting its ongoing eco-friendly initiatives. From
energy efficiency measures to waste reduction efforts, the mall continues to
integrate sustainability into its daily operations. This forum reinforced SM's
dedication to making a positive impact on the environment while supporting the
youth in becoming active contributors to sustainability efforts.
With events like this, SM Supermalls reaffirms its
commitment to building greener communities and empowering future generations to
lead the way in environmental protection.
